STATEMENT

Portraits is a processual work, which is integrated by the wallpapers of the PCs of different people with whom I feel identified from different points of view. The desktop reveals, in form and content, certain traits of the identity of the person who organizes it. The elements on our computers are an extension of each of us: concerns, work matters, preferences, entertainments, aspirations, obsessions, secrets, etc. The folders, files, shortcuts, and even the wallpaper itself unveil the first image of our computer, an image that is simultaneously a gateway and a surface.

The dimensions of each photograph correspond to the desktop on which it was taken, preserving each user’s configuration. Each portrait will be titled with the person’s name, profession, and the date it was taken.
