STATEMENT
Logbook is a photographic series that represents an exploration of the fleeting nature of time and memory; and, at the same time, a way to record situations that might go unnoticed. In it, I capture details of my daily life with which I maintain a very personal dialogue, both with ephemeral moments and prolonged ones, to thus create a kind of visual biography.
I address themes and concerns that I have dealt with throughout my artistic career, such as the everyday, the relationship between human beings and their environment, the symbol, the Kabbalah, the meaning of life, mysticism, and poetry. I am interested in creating images that, although personal, have a universal resonance and can be interpreted in different ways by the viewer. Aesthetically, I seek simplicity, with an inclination towards lines, contrasts of light and shadow, color, the “abstraction” of the real, and minimalism.
