STATEMENT

This procedural artwork consisted of a “computer literacy” advertising campaign, aimed at creating “social nodes” throughout the Island of Cuba to establish public Facebook profiles for “disconnected” individuals, and to post a thought, opinion, message, or phrase that each person chose to make visible on their wall.

Durability of the Work

Facts was a project carried out in Cuba between 2014 and 2016, a period during which internet access was very difficult for all Cubans; largely due to the cost, which made it unaffordable for the average person, in addition to restrictions and censorship.
