Curatorial Statement

(…) the concept of territory certainly presupposes that of space, but it does not consist, absolutely, in the objective delineation of a precise geographical location. Indeed, Deleuze and Guattari have shown us that territory is not antecedent to the qualitative mark; on the contrary, it is the mark that produces a territory. Neither are the functions within a territory foundational; they presuppose an expressiveness that distills territory. Therefore, territorialization is the very act of rhythm made expression or components of mediums turned qualitative, and in this sense, territory would be the greatest effect of art. *
