STATEMENT

In this work, I create an intimate and participatory environment where a single rose (a “Black Prince”), planted in the center of a room, becomes the focus of attention and sensory connection.

When the viewer spontaneously approaches or bows before “the prince”, thus performing an “act of reverence”, the entire space will be sprayed with a perfume extracted from this type of flower. This action transforms the room into a place imbued with the essence of the flower, taking the experience beyond the visual, engaging the sense of smell to create a multisensory and emotive routine.

The interaction between participants and the rose, along with the diffusion of the aroma in the space, seeks to explore the relationship between humanity and nature. Furthermore, it invites reflection on the ability of small gestures to elevate the mundane and reveal the extraordinary in our surroundings.
